Friday 1 August: Preamble to Alderney Week

Charisma, good looks,  plenty of charm and the best chat-up lines were essential to clinch the title, the trophy, the champagne, a bag of top quality cosmetics for men.  The competition was fierce and the choice was a hard one to make for the judging panel ? Miss Alderney Adele Woodruff and her two Maids of Honour Charlie Smith and Sammy Gaudion.

And this year’s Mister Alderney is 22-year old Adam Barnes, a professional gardener, who walked away with the prizes and instantly found himself surrounded by the island’s prettiest girls.

What more could a young man wish for?!?
