Miss Alderney

DID YOU KNOW?

The first Miss Alderney was elected in 1948:  Eileen Sykes. Since then we have had a glamorous Miss Alderney virtually every year (except no records for 1956 and 1967).

Just take a look at the beautiful girls who were crowned Miss Alderney from 1948 onwards:

Some of the photographs have been retrieved from archives and might not be the best quality, and if you have a better photo of any  Miss Alderney  featured in that album, please send us a message on our  Contact Page

In 2008 -to mark the 60th anniversary of Miss Alderney – a special Vin d’Honneur was organised at the Island Hall and attended by  many of the Miss Alderneys who flew in from as far away as Australia to join the glamorous party.

BIG PARTY SETS THE STAGE FOR MISS ALDERNEY 2021  ELECTION

The run-up to Alderney Week starts with the traditional Miss Alderney Party which this year will take place on Saturday night  24 July at The Moorings,  when Miss Alderney and her Maid of Honour  will be elected and crowned.

Sadly, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event did not take place in 2020  and, for the very first time in many years,  Alderney Week  did not have a Miss Alderney that year!  However, on Cavalcade Day many of the former Miss Alderneys were crowned Miss Alderney 2020 and took part in a very special cavalcade float.

Miss Alderneys 2020

Due to COVID-19 we were unable to hold a Miss Alderney party and could not elect a Miss Alderney 2020

However, on Cavalcade Day 15 former Miss Alderneys became Miss Alderneys 2020 when they joined a special float for the Cavalcade.
