Miss Alderney

The Alderney Week team are proud to have the beautiful Abbie Chandler as Miss Alderney 2019, with the lovely Lilli Knight as her Maid of Honour.

Miss Alderney was elected on Easter Weekend, and Abbie came to the event as a 15 year old and left as a 16 year old.

Abbie and Lilli were chosen by independent judges, after the girls entered themselves anonymously by text message. Each girl was asked to write a message about what they would most look forward to as Miss Alderney, and Abbie and Lilli blew the judges away with their answers.

Abbie and Lilli will both be receiving the VIP treatment during Alderney Week this year and representing our amazing island by hosting and opening events, featuring in radio and television interviews, as well as creating a legendary float for the Cavalcade parade!

The Miss Alderney disco this year was fantastic, with Adam Barnes as our DJ, drinks flowing and some very impressive dancing! We had an incredibly impressive list of entries for our judges to choose from, and we hope that the tradition will continue for many more years to come!

Miss Alderney 2019

Miss Alderney was presented with a stunning bouquet and champagne and will enjoy VIP treatment throughout the week, with hair and beauty treatment courtesy of Michaela's Hair Salon and lots of special treats!  Both girls will enjoy free entry into the Bunker and Quarry parties and a trip to Southampton laid on by Aurigny.
We wish to applaud and congratulate all the girls who entered Miss Alderney, your support was overwhelming, and to thank our sponsors for providing such generous prizes.
We would also like to congratulate our Little Miss Alderney, Grace Millan and Master Alderney, Archie Dawber.  Both had a great day and enjoyed prizes kindly sponsored by the Alderney Centre.  We would like to thank all the children for attending the party in such great fancy dress costumes, we hope you had fun!  The scrummy picnic was sponsored by the Hot Bread Shop and Jean's Stores.
