ALDERNEY WEEK PLUS An action-packed weekend from 17 to 19 August incl.
Just when you thought Alderney Week 2012 was all over after the Torchlight Procession on Saturday night 11 August 2012, we’re back the following weekend of 17 to 19 August with “Alderney Week PLUS ”, an action-packed programme of events in the Alderney Week Marquee on the Butes.
This extra weekend is really a trial, but if successful, we would like it to become a regular extension to Alderney Week.
Add another week to your Alderney Week holiday next year and you’ll have an absolute ball.
Friday 17th August 7:30pm for 8.00pm – The Olympics Ball
An extraordinary sports gala night and dinner dance for up to 150 people will be Alderney Week’s main fun fundraising event of the year. Each table will represent a country and people on each table will be expected to wear the emblems of their nation during that evening of Olympic style games, with the prospect of gold, silver and bronze medals. The winning countries’ tables will be expected to learn the tune and words of their respective national anthem in time for the medals presentation when their national flags will fly high. Participants will be expected to attend in sports attire representing the colours of their country which will be confirmed as they book their tables. Tables of 10 (parties or individuals) can be pre-booked by email to info@alderneyweek.net and tickets, including dinner, will be £25.
