Alderney Week 2009: “Around the World in 8 Days”

Well, what a fantastic week that was!  This year again, the Alderney Week Team produced yet another bumper programme of events and entertainment. See for yourself by looking up the different days of Alderney Week , as listed below, showing a wide selection of photographs taken at different events.  You will notice that we do not have photographs of every event and if you happen to have taken digital photographs of the missing events you would be happy for us to publish on this website,  we would be most grateful if you could email these to us at info@alderneyweek.net or send them to Alderney Week PO Box 138, Alderney GY9 3HF

A printed copy of the programme (60-page pocket size publication) can be mailed to you. Simply send a £1.50 cheque payable to Alderney Week, together with your address details, to Alderney Week PO Box 138, Alderney GY9 3HF.

So, if you were not able to join us in Alderney this year, make sure you do next year when Alderney Week takes place from 31 July to 8 August.

Important Notice regarding photographs and video footage taken  during Alderney Week

The Alderney Week Team is always committed to playing its part in protecting the interests and well-being of children on the Island. We respect the needs and wishes of children who are visitors to Alderney events and their parents/guardians. Inevitably, in events such as these,  photographs/video footage will be taken by members of the press and public over which we have limited control and parents/guardians are asked to bear this in mind.

The Alderney Week Team accepts no responsibility for such activity and parents must exercise their own judgement and supervision if they object to images being taken. Moreover, as the organisers, we will take photographs/footage of scenes during Alderney Week and any Alderney Week-related events with the intention of using them in future publicity such as the Alderney Week website, the official programme, posters and all other promotional material produced by the Alderney Week Team, as well as for general media reporting.

When doing so, every effort will be made to avoid identifiable close-up shots of individuals but inclusion of your child or children in a distant or group shot is likely to be unavoidable. In attending, or in allowing your child to attend Alderney events therefore, you are deemed to consent to the taking of such photographs/footage.
